23nd Annual A Waiting Child Golf Classic
Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas believed in giving back to the community. Adopted as an infant, he worked tirelessly to found the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption and give a voice to children in foster care. Following in his footsteps, we created the A Waiting Child Golf Classic to benefit Wendy’s Wonderful Kids, a signature program of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. The tournament raises funds and awareness for finding permanent homes for Montana foster children. In 22 years, we have raised over $1,300,000 for adoption efforts in Montana!

WENDY'S WONDERFUL KIDS®
Through its Wendy’s Wonderful Kids program, the Foundation provides grants to adoption agencies to hire recruiters who implement an evidence-based, child-focused recruitment model. Research in the United States revealed the model to be up to three times more effective at serving children who have been in foster care the longest, including teenagers, children with special needs and siblings.
